Extremely frustrating
Buggy:
- instead of swinging the racquet, you end up running away from the ball
- certain swings cause the player to freeze up, allowing the opponent to hit "winners" because you cant move
Poor controls
- no way to control speed of running
- no way to control depth/height of lob
- controls respond poorly when you try to hit drop shots or short balls
- due to poor graphics, very difficult to tell when the opponent has hit a lob, until its too late
- the opponents have the ability to hit huge forehand/backhand returns, while you cant, which puts you at a permanent disadvantage throughout the game
- sometimes the app forces you to run around your backhand to hit an inside-out forehand, putting you well out of position to return the next ball; you have no choice in this and will usually lose the point
Not realistic
- play as many tournaments in one day as you like, to artificially inflate your ranking
- return 120mph serves easily while standing well inside the baseline
- no gauge at all to measure player energy level/fatigue
Finally, you end up playing a lot against a player named "Theron Tenniel," who has the advantage of having:
- an "atomic forehand" (which no one else has the option of getting)
- the ability to hit perfect lobs (which you cannot due to poor controls)
- the ability to hit perfect cross court shots (which you cannot due to poor controls)
So, good luck with beating him. Its an exercise in futility.
This game is not realistic, has poor playability and is extremely frustrating. I wish I could give it a lower score.
