Virtua Tennis Challenge App Reviews

I have played this game for over a year and I really enjoyed the physics and the graphics of the game. I had troubles with the control, but there are more than one type of controls if you go to settings at the bottom right hand of the screen. My only complaint is that this game has been ignored by Sega and I would like an update for this game.

First, for those of you having issues beating Theron Tenniele, heres a tip, dont hit to his forehand...at all. I only hit to his forehand if its going to be a winner, otherwise I hit EVERYTHING to his backhand. Ive been playing this game for some time now, and Its definitely one of the better tennis games for iPad. I use the on screen buttons for controls, but find often during a match that the buttons are way too small. I end up pressing the space between the buttons quite often. Would be awesome if those were scaleable so we could make them bigger or smaller. Also as some others have pointed out, its almost comical how the game works when playing Theron Tenniele. It never fails, first set I beat him 6-0, and then in the second set Im up 4-0 or 5-0 and then the game gets erratic..my player doesnt hit the ball as hard anymore, he runs erratically around the court, doesnt hit the ball at all or some other odd behavior. He usually wins 2, 3, 4 or 5 games in a row because of this before I weather the storm. I always know around game 4 of the second set, I will have a fight my hands because getting to and hitting the ball becomes an obstacle, and it has nothing to do with the way the Theron Tenniele is playing. If the player is going to beat me, let the player beat me, dont make my player glitch, so now I have to fight the software and the player. Other than that, the game is good.

Stellar game, the button controls are the way to go, effective once you get the hang of it. The complaints are unwarranted, yes the difficulty can be high, its a true video game. Super fun and a great challenge!!!!

Fantastic game, but iOS 9 is causing the game to crash when I pause the game, put my phone to sleep, and then turn it back on. Please fix!

This is def a really good game considering played on an iPhone or iPad. I too have problems with the games golden child Theron, but if the game cheats me Ill cheat back. I usually just kill the game when I know Theron is gonna win. Eventually after 3 or 4 tries youll beat him. Its pretty pathetic cheating to win, but like some ppl say on reviews on this game. Ill take a loss if the other player is better, but with the help of game glitches and my players all of a sudden erratic play... I refuse to lose.

Played this game two years ago and deleted for the same reason. Fun game to pass time with but when ur player does what u push him to do early on and then u do the same things and ur guy runs across the court versus hitting the ball is a joke. Will never try this game again. Other people complain about the same thing. And people spending your money..... DONT

Dear Sega developers you need to update the Virtua Tennis to be compatible with IOS 9 cause most of the time when i swap from the game to another application and come back to the game it crashs

I’ve been playing this game for quite some time, and can bulldoze most of the opponents, including Theron. But if you play him in a final, it’s all of a sudden full of forehands blasting past you, the game starts slowing down with weird frame freeze-ups, and you are no longer able to run to attack his returns. It’s the most frustrating thing about this game... so frustrating that I’ve had to delete the game or risk throwing my phone into oncoming traffic.

I wish they would update it for the latest iOS so it would not crash when you have to change apps or get a phone call.

Great game very addicting. However, if you exit the game in the middle of a match you will need to start over. Ive played the same guy now 6 times and either I get a phone call, text or just exit out of the game I have to begin again from game one set one. With that being said the gameplay is good. The controls arent great and theres no explanation on how to use the power swing when the meter is full. Maybe its somewhere in the settings but theres no mention of it in the training. Perhaps it only happens random but Im not sure. So, Im only giving 3 stars because of the glitch otherwise I would give it 4-5

Ive been reading the reviews, and a few people are complaining about how the game is rigged. I have the game on the hardest mode, and I can beat the tournaments with ease. For those having trouble with the mechanics, change the controls to the arcade pad instead of complaining about it. The controls are a lot easier to use. For those complaining about how Theron is rigged, dont hit to his forehand unless you can get a winner... You fill your power bar specifically depending on the players ability. Read it. Its simple. Dont be stupid. I agree with some people though. Customization would be great. Challenges are also good. Knowing the game hasnt been updated for nearly a year, it probably wont happen though. Overall, the game is good and keeps you entertained. Id recommend it.

Enjoyable at first until the game starts cheating. Shots go in the direction other than where you hit them, balls start to go outside. Theron becomes unstoppable. Please do not waste your time. Very frustrating.

The view is not proporsional. And cant use multiplayer.
